Healthcare disparities in Ghana remain a point of concern; especially in the rural areas of the country. The rural areas contribute to the large portion of the underserved population and it is evident in the lack of healthcare workers who are skilled with continued education. The copious unequal distribution of healthcare centers, resources, and medical personnel, leads to unfavorable differences in health status between urban and rural populations. To catalyze the improvement of health care outcomes in rural areas, Project Dzidzor will be donating medical resources to facilities in susceptible regions of the country. Project Dzidzor strides to bridge the gap in marginalized communities as much as we can in our own little way.
